New Thinking in a Pandemic Business, Economics & Inclusion | Don Moore & Julia Galef
How much did poor decision making contribute to the COVID-19 crisis? Join Berkeley Haas Prof. Don Moore for a live-streamed interview with Julia Galef, decision strategist and author of “The Scout Mindset: Why Some People See Things Clearly and Others Don't”, due out in April. Galef is the co-founder of The Center for Applied Rationality, a non-profit that runs workshops on improving reasoning and decision making, and host of the "Rationally Speaking" podcast. Moore, an expert on overconfidence and decision making, is the author of “Perfectly Confident: How to Calibrate Your Decisions Wisely.” He is the Lorraine Tyson Mitchell Chair in Leadership and Communication. Moore and Galef will discuss why humans are so susceptible to blindspots, as well as habits and skills to avoid common decision-making pitfalls.
